Introducing the PlayBook: Blackberry's answer to the iPad





The BlackBerry PlayBook sounds like it packs a punch. RIM says the machine will run the new BlackBerry Tablet operating system on a 1 GHz dual-core processor; in addition, the machine gets front- and rear-facing cameras (both HD), Flash support, a 7-inch screen, and a HDMI-out port for linking up content with external displays. HTC Unveils The New HTC Desire HD



Taiwan-based HTC Corporation unveiled the new HTC Desire HD, which in my opinion looks to be pretty similar to the existing HTC EVO 4G. The device is Android-powered, of course.

All major carriers picking up the Tab

Samsung revealed that Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T are all on board to offer the Android-based Galaxy Tab in the U.S.

Pricing and release dates for the Android-based Galaxy Tab are still yet to be announced, and will likely differ from carrier to carrier. Samsung has also confirmed that, like the Galaxy S series of smartphones, the features and specs of the Galaxy Tab will be tweaked slightly from carrier to carrier.
